Went to Buffalo with NM today. NM is my husband. It was a hour and a half to get there from here in Rochester. Parking was terrible. We stopped at Starbucks Coffee shop to bide some time till his appointment. Their scone was dry, I gave half of it to him. I also gave him the rest of my ice'd coffee. He was elated... he loves when I share with him...
At the appointment building we walked through the revolving doors, an architect's worst nightmare. The doors stopped when NM went through and there I was trapped in it much like a bee in a metal and glass comb. Figuring I was already sick enough that I couldn't get any more ill, I pushed on through the fun house doors...
I then went through the metal detector and my allergy emergency alert necklace of course set it off. So I had to stand there spread eagle while the S. Guard waved his magic wand. Then he gestured me through to place NM's pocket change, random receipts, and a couple of nuts from a project from who knows how long ago, into my purse. We proceeded on through the double doors to his appointment...
While I was sitting waiting for NM's appointment to end, my nose began to run. So having the awareness of mind to pack a handful of tissue in my purse I blew my nose. Crumpled up the tissue and threw it in the trash and went back to my seat to settle in and wait for NM. All of a sudden like St. Helen my nose started gushing blood, I grabbed for what tissue was left in my purse to try and stop the flow. I had blood on my shirt and hands... I probably looked like something from a horror flick sitting in this government building covered in blood. Thankfully NM came out of his appointment and the ladies room was near. I shoved my purse in his hands, rushed past the S.Guard station, into the bathroom, and got myself cleaned up...
We arrived home not too long ago, NM got the internet back up and running for me and here I am...writing...
